Google Ads management for insurance agents
Insurance ads often pay for people filing a claim, researching general insurance terms, or looking for a job selling insurance rather than buying a policy. An audit checks whether spend reaches people shopping for coverage.

Claims searches, general research and career searches are the usual leaks.
- Claims-related searches: how to file an insurance claim, claim status check.
- General definition searches: what is liability coverage, how does deductible work.
- Job and career searches: insurance agent jobs, how to become a licensed agent.
- Policy types you don't sell, such as commercial lines if you focus on personal auto and home.
- Searches for an existing policyholder's account login or service issue.
Common tracking problems for insurance agencies
Quote requests often come through a form or phone call, and the gap between a quote and a bound policy needs to be tracked.
Check whether a submitted quote request is what fires the conversion in Google Ads, and whether that's distinguished from someone just checking rates out of curiosity.
A bound policy is the real outcome that matters. If your agency management system can mark which quotes converted to policies, compare that rate against the raw lead count from Google Ads.

What does a good cost per lead look like?
Judge cost per bound policy, not cost per quote request, since quote-to-bind rates vary by product.
An auto policy and a life or commercial policy carry very different commission value. Track cost per bound policy separately by product line rather than blending them into one average.
Note that insurance advertising can be subject to Google Ads policies on financial services and licensing; check current policy requirements for your account and the states you're licensed in.
What should an insurance agency check first?
Search terms by cost, quote-to-bind tracking, and whether policy lines are separated by campaign.
- Exclude claims and job-seeker searches
- Track quote-to-bind rate by campaign where possible
- Separate policy lines into their own campaigns
- Check location targeting against states where you're licensed
Frequently asked questions
Why do I get calls from people trying to file a claim?
Claims-related searches sometimes match insurance agency keywords. Negative keywords for 'claim' and 'file a claim' usually reduce this.
Should different policy lines run in separate campaigns?
Usually yes, since they attract different searches and have different bind rates, making it easier to judge what each is really producing.
Will Claritad change my insurance ad account?
Managed builds and runs your ads after you approve the plan, then optimizes within agreed limits. Budget increases require your OK. The free diagnostic does not change your ads.
